Essex Trophy

The 2019 Essex Trophy was won by the Kent County Association. The results were:

Surrey 3h16m. Good start, occasional trips and rushed leads. Gaps caused by leading. Tenor good. Improved as went on. 75 5th
Kent 3h27m. Good start, excellent pace. Occasional rushed leads. Tenor good. Middle section not so good, rushed hand stroke leads. 51 1st
Essex 3h16m. Team struggled with practice, including opening rounds. Start of test piece collected a few minor faults. Hard to sustain performance at the pace of ringing. Leading generally good, but bell in second place tended to clip leading bell. Good towards end. 73 4th
Guildford 3h20m. Took time to settle into steady rhythm. Not all at same speed. Only minor faults 68 2nd
Sussex 3h12m. Good opening rounds, rushed leads, clipped 2nds. Overall good rhythm and good start, not all at same speed. 70 3rd
Hertford 3h01m. Opening rounds didn’t settle before going into changes. Very rushed ringing. Rushed leads. Settled towards end but still felt rushed. 86 6th
