The 2026 Essex Course, was, in my opinion, a considerable success. It required a great deal of hard work, both in organising the course, and by all those who participated. The helpers have to work very hard, ringing frequently for three days, often with a five minute break between, if they are not required. My own helpers had to ring without breaks when we were ringing on eight, so I would especially like to thank all the helpers on this years course.
The refreshments at the school were invaluable, as they kept us all going, and it was something to look forward to after a busy day’s ringing! A special thank you to all who gave up their time to provide refreshments.
What of the students? Did they benefit from the course? I shall be reading the feedback to see what they considered to be positive aspects of the course, and if there are any improvements or modifications, which can be applied.
