Hello everyone
On Saturday, 7th March 2026 there will be a Quiz at St Martin’s Church Hall, Basildon, SS14 1DX. The hall will be open from 7:00 p.m. so that the quiz can start promptly at 7:30 p.m. There is a car park for everyone to use in front of the Basildon bell tower. The hall is also a short walk from Basildon train station.
This event is being held in aid of repairs to the historic tower and bell frame of St Mary’s and St Edward’s Church, West Hanningfield. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Friends of the church, charity number 1164125.
Tables are for up to 8 people and the charge is £10 per person. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles and a raffle will be run in aid of the charity.
Please let either John Harpole or I know if you are planning to enter a team or whether you would like to join forces with another team if you are short on numbers.
We’ve been asked if partners are welcome, please do invite partners, friends or family to join us.
For those who took part in the monthly quiz organised by John throughout lock-down you will know that there will be something for everyone and a wide range of topics covered.
