It is only 10 days now until our EACR Striking Competition Finals at Terling and Sandon on Saturday 12th July.
The SE District are planning a fun day for you all but PLEASEdo not forget to order your lunch by Tuesday 8th July at the latest . Preordering your lunch is ESSENTIAL so please contact Hazel Steed (se-district-secretary@eacr.org.uk or text/ring 07906 329248). If you are booking for a team please can you indicate the names of each individual so they can be ticked off!!! on arrival. Thankyou.
Please advise Hazel if anyone has any specific dietary requirements eg Vegetarian/Vegan or Gluten/Dairy Free, or any Allergies.A Two Course Ploughmans lunch with homemade desserts will be served in Sandon Church starting at 12.30 (earlier than previously advertised), price £7/person CASH only and it would be very helpful if you could bring the correct money.
This is a reminder of the plan for the day:The 8 bell Striking Competition Draw will be at 10am at Terling in the Church. It is hoped Competition Ringing will start promptly at 10.15.
Parking is available on Terling Green outside the Church. Once the Draw has taken place bacon rolls, coffee, tea and cake will be served. CASH only please for all refreshments.On arrival at Sandon Church for lunch, there is some available parking in the church car park at Sandon Church,which is opposite the Crown Pub on the Village Green, at CM2 7SL.
Extra Parking has been arranged at Sandon Lodge Farm, only a short walk away from the Church (please see the attachment for directions). It will be really helpful if those with no mobility issues could park in this extra parking at Sandon Lodge Farm.
Please bring your own garden chairs so you can sit on Terling Green and in Sandon Churchyard if the weather is favourable.
The 8 bell Competition results will hopefully be at 1.30pm in Sandon Church with the 6 bell Competition draw taking place at 2pm. The 6 bell Competition ringing will hopefully start promptly at 2.15 pm.
A Raffle will be arranged with all proceeds to EACR Bell Restoration Account so any donations of prizes will be gratefully received.
Refreshments will be served all afternoon with homemade cake.
The 6 Bell Competition Results will hopefully be announced in Sandon Church soon after 6pm.
